Azar Naghiyev (Azer Nagiyev) is a highly qualified international lawyer, expert, trainer, mediator, and writer with extensive academic and professional experience. He is fluent in four languages—Azerbaijani, English, Turkish, and Russian—and brings a global perspective to his work. He has participated in many international training sessions, conferences, workshops, and seminars throughout his professional career. He is one of only 40 trainers in Azerbaijan who completed the Training for Trainers program funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe for lawyers, prosecutors, and judges. He is one of the 61 Certified Tutors on the Council of Europe HELP online platform. As a Trainer and HELP Tutor, he led training courses for prosecutors, judges, and members of the Azerbaijani Bar Association. He is one of the 100 mediators in Azerbaijan who completed the 48-hour Mediator Course. He is also one of the few lawyers in Azerbaijan who have successfully represented clients at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Azar Naghiyev is a member of internationally recognized professional associations such as The European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), the International Bar Association (IBA), and the International Council of Jurists. Azar Naghiyev received nationally and internationally recognized prizes and awards for excellence in legal expertise. Azar Naghiyev has performed in a leading or critical role for organizations or establishments with a distinguished reputation. He is a Member of the Management Board of the famous Neftchi Sports Club, a Co-Founder and Partner of Azem and Partners Law Firm, and a Co-Founder and First Director of the Azerbaijan New Generation Lawyers Association NGO. Azar Naghiyev has authored several books and articles, which have been published in professional and major trade publications and other notable media outlets. Some of his books are currently available at the Khazar University Library and serve as essential references for legal professionals.
